See You Soon!
Our first festival in 2012 was an amazing success :)
Nuts in May is one of the UK's best new boutique live music festivals, set within its own specially landscaped woodland arena, deep in the musical heart of Cumbria. Boasting six stages, covering everything from folk to rock, reggae to dance, indie to punk, comedy to poetry and much more besides. With activities, workshops, entertainers, artisan traders and gourmet food stalls; this family-friendly festival will cater for children of all ages. Over 3 days and free 4 day camping, make this a great May Day Bank Holiday weekend break.
"Everyone will be claiming they were there at the start. For the lucky few who were – we already know why." Festivals For All - 8th May 2012
Our 2012 headliners were: Hazel O'Connor, Nik Kershaw, Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick, Emma's Imagination, Megan Henwood, The Martin Harley Band, Mad Dog McCrea, The Magic Tombolinos, ahab, Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, Gus MacGregor, Danny Mahon, MJ Hibbett and the Validators and over 80 more!
We will be back, but after a great deal of consideration and reluctance, we have decided not to hold a festival in 2013. Due to the current economic climate, we feel it wouldn't be possible to maintain the extremely high standards, we were so widely acclaimed for in 2012. We're still working hard to make our next festival even more magical than the last. It's not the end folks, just a pause.
